The 2023 AgroExpo wrapped up Wednesday afternoon at the North Central Research Station near St. Johns in Clinton County, Michigan. This was the seventh year for the farm show which brought together hundreds of farmers from across Michigan with ag businesses. One of those ag businesses was AgroLiquid—one of the Platinum Sponsors of AgroExpo and the owner of the North Central Research Station.
Dan Peterson, a regional agronomist with AgroLiquid, told Michigan Ag Today how AgroExpo came to fruition.
“It grew out of our tours here at our research farm,” according to Peterson. “We would showcase our research and those tours would get fairly technical. However, that’s not what farmers sometimes really want to hear. They like to see the equipment, touch things, and they want to see things demonstrated. After Michigan State University was no longer doing an outdoor farm show, we saw an opportunity to evolve and grow from just showcasing our research to having an actual outdoor farm show.”
Peterson says the team at AgroLiquid is proud to be a Platinum Sponsor of AgroExpo—which also showcases the latest ag technology and innovation for Michigan’s farmers.
“We couldn’t do it without our other sponsors, but this is truly a team effort,” says Peterson. “With the AgroExpo committee and the planning that they do, we just bring in a lot of different resources and people to help us put on this show.”
