Rain showers across Clinton County weren’t enough to keep hundreds of Michigan farmers and agribusiness professionals away from the opening day of AgroExpo in St. Johns, Michigan on Tuesday.
The event brings together producers from across Michigan and the Midwest with agribusinesses to showcase the latest in technology and innovation.
This year’s event has more than 155 exhibitors, multiple sprayer demonstrations and guest speakers discussing topics ranging from cover crops to legal topics that the ag industry is facing in 2023.
In addition, more than 100 varieties of soybeans and 100 different corn hybrids are on display. AgroExpo has dozens of corn and soybean plots so Michigan farmers can see the results of the crops that are available from each respective seed company.
“That’s the great benefit of this show is that we do have the plots with the seeds, and it gives an opportunity for the grower to see that in person and touch it, feel it, and see it,” says Marnie Swartzendruber, AgroExpo Show Coordinator.
AgroExpo continues on Wednesday, Aug. 16 at the North Central Research Station near St. Johns and is open from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
