According to the USDA, 66 percent of Michigan’s corn and soybean crops are rated in good-to-excellent condition as of Sunday, Sept. 4.
Tom Manney, technical agronomist with Specialty Hybrids, expects corn yields in Michigan to be “surprisingly good this fall.” He also says timely rains in August have been added to great-looking soybean crops across Michigan ahead of harvest.
