After the remnants of Tropical Storm Cristobal swept through the state, causing severe damage in some areas, drier weather will prevail over the next couple of days.
“We are going to be seeing cooler air start to push into the area Friday afternoon and evening, and its going to be in place as high pressure sits over the top of us through the weekend,” said Ryan Martin, MAT chief meteorologist. “We are going to be a bit on the cool side, not bad though.”
Martin thinks there won’t be as strong of a chance of moisture circulating around the outer edges of the high pressure system.
“We go through the first part of next week looking at dry weather,” he said. “Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, plenty of sunshine and no precipitation.”
Martin added that a front in the northwest could come through the area on Friday that could bring moisture to northern parts of the state.
