Martin’s Forecast: Not a Straight Forward Weather Picture

.

Martin says off again/on again showers on Saturday.

“We have scattered rain showers that are coming through with a minor disturbance overnight Friday night right on through to Saturday. I think we’ll see anywhere for a quarter to three quarters of an inch of precipitation with 75-80% coverage. The low doesn’t clear Michigan through much of Saturday at all. So I think we’re stuck with clouds an pesky on again/off again showers through the entirety of Saturday.”

According to Martin, the skies should clear on Sunday with sun and pleasant temps for most of the rest of the week.

“There is a little bit of instability that wants to rear it’s head at times, so maybe a few renegade clouds here or there in that Monday through Wednesday time frame. But nothing that will interrupt harvest on a large, grand scale. Where we are seeing another disturbance is going to be next Thursday. I think that we have to watch for hit and miss scattered showers a few hundreds to maybe half an inch over about 60% of the state.”

Martin believes we could see significant rain the following weekend into the week after next.

“Cold Canadian air is going to start to sag southward and I think the 2nd half of the week of the 20th is going to be quite chilly across all of Michigan.”
