Phil Probst with Family Ag Services, which is a Specialty Hybrids dealer, says there are reports of extremely high yields for Michigan’s soybeans this harvest around St. Joseph County in southern Michigan. However, Phil says much of the corn in his area has not yet been dry enough to harvest.
Phil also farms near Sturgis, Michigan. He says he has completed harvesting nearly 800 soybean acres, but has not yet harvested any of his commercial corn acres. Phil says he expects to start his corn harvest around Oct. 18 or 19.
